As a charterholder of DEC you can proof that you have what it takes to claim yourself as a professional, and you can access the right network and sources which allows you to remain up to date with latest developments and professional practices.
CDAA: for professionals with backgrounds in finance, banking, asset management and trading, from all functions and levels of responsibility.
CBA: for professionals with backgrounds in enterprise, healthcare, public services, utilities and supply chain, from all functions and levels of responsibility.
You do not need any prior knowledge in Blockchain, Digital Assets and Web3 for Level 1. Basic knowledge in business & markets is of advantage. For Level 2 the knowledge learned and tested in Level 1 is fundamental to reach a positive outcome.
There are no requirements registering for the Level 1 certification. Candidates registering for the CBA® or CDAA® Level 2 certification must meet one of the following enrollment requirements: bachelor's degree, undergraduate student, min. of 6 months of work experience in related fields.

The MOOC Basic Preparatory Course costs €146, both on Edx.org as well as on DEC´s proprietary OpenEdx platform. Prices on MOOC Extensive Preparatory Course are being released at launch. There are no admission requirements to these courses.
No, there are no additional costs. Do not pay any fee to Pearson VUE or Mettl Mercer.
No, you are free to decide if you want to take the CBA® or CDAA® exam after the MOOC is completed. You need to register on DEC´s website for the exam.
Yes, you get a "Certificate of Completion", which is attesting that you have participated and completed the MOOC. Please note that this does not qualify you as either CBA® or CDAA® charterholder. For this, you need to pass the CBA® or CDAA® examination at DEC Institute.

The CBA® and CDAA® are issued mutually by both the DEC Institute and the DEC Association. Both charter, the CBA® and CDAA®, are registered trademarks.
A CBA® and CDAA® charter are designations given to those who have completed the CBA® and CDAA® Program Level 1 & 2, and completed acceptable work experience requirements.
The CBA® and CDAA® Program are two-part exams that test the fundamentals of Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Digital Assets and Web3 related to technology, business & economics, and legal & regulatory aspects. DEC charterholders earn the right to use the CBA® and CDAA® designation after program completion and membership registration. DEC charterholders are qualified to work in senior and executive positions in the blockchain industry.
