IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE TAKING THE EXAM
The DEC Institute has partnered with Pearson VUE and Mercer | Mettl, two global leaders in the administration of rigorous testing for professional certifications, for delivering the Level 1 exam online on Mercer | Mettl’s online proctoring solution, and for the Level 2 in one of Pearson VUE’s about 5000 test centres worldwide or Pearson´s OnVUE live proctered solution. The online and in-person exam centres have a very strict test-taking protocol, so please ensure you are prepared by reading this section carefully. Non-compliance with the protocol requirements can lead to you missing and not passing the certification exam.





exam overview
The DEC Institute offers fours types of exam, the CBA Level 1 & 2 and CDAA Level 1 & 2 . A summary of relevant information on these examinations are presented in the tables below.
1. I confirm that I have read and studied the preparation material and the syllabus (available after registration), know the exam's scope and have prepared by studying the topics with the preparation material or learning this knowledge through individual research.
2. I understand that the Level 1 exam consists of 75 questions to be completed in 60 minutes.
3. I acknowledge that each question has three options, and only one is correct.
4. I understand that for each question, I should pick the best option (that is most accurate or correct) as some options may be partially correct.
5. I acknowledge that some questions generally use well-known abbreviations used in the blockchain industry and that as part of my preparation or work experience, I am expected to be familiar with these.
6. I understand that some questions may be made more complex by how they are written and worded. I should endeavour to read all the questions and options in detail not to make easy mistakes.
7. I understand that a good pace for answering exam questions is to spend approximately slightly less than one minute per question.

The exam on Mercer | Mettl’s Platform is an online AI-proctored assessment platform used for the Level 1 examinations only.
Please be aware that:
1. To verify the authenticity of a candidate before taking the exam, Mercer | Mettl requires face recognition and ID verification.
2. To guarantee a cheating-free exam Mercer | Mettl’s Platform activates automated video and audio proctoring and recording as well as browser locking to disable tabs and data sharing.
